Solist inc. is a company specializing in the sale and service of hosted IP telephony, as well as a wide range of telecommunications services, including:
– network services;
– Internet packages;
– long distance services;
– local lines;
– SIP Internet lines;
– analog lines;
– MPLS networks;
– point-to-point services.
Solist inc. is committed to identifying, removing and preventing barriers to accessibility in accordance with the Accessible Canada Act.
This plan covers the following areas:
– customer service;
– information and communication technologies;
– employment;
– built environment;
– procurement of goods and services;
– design and delivery of programs and services;
– transportation (not applicable to Solist inc.).
Due to the size of the company, consultation was conducted with members of management and the administrative team. As needed, Solist inc. may consult with external partners or persons with disabilities to improve the accessibility of its services.
Solist inc. is committed to:

– providing support adapted to customer needs;
– responding promptly to accessibility-related feedback;
– updating this plan and producing reports required by the CRTC.
5.1 Customer Service
Potential barrier: difficulties accessing information for some individuals.
Measures:
– offer multiple modes of communication (phone, email, documentation);
– provide documentation in accessible formats upon request;
– simplify technical explanations when necessary.
5.2 Information and Communication Technologies
Potential barrier: technical documents that are not very accessible.
Measures:
– improve the structure and readability of digital documents;
– offer accessible alternative formats;
– progressively improve website accessibility.
5.3 Employment
Potential barrier: lack of formal accommodation policy.
Measures:
– implement a simple process for accommodation requests;
– provide adapted tools as needed.
5.4 Built Environment
Potential barrier: accessibility dependent on building facilities.
Measures:
– collaborate with the building owner in case of barriers;
– offer remote services when physical access is compromised.
5.5 Procurement of Goods and Services
Measure:
– consider accessibility when making future purchases of equipment or services.
5.6 Design and Delivery of Programs and Services
Potential barrier: technical complexity of some services for some customers.
Measures:
– provide simplified and adapted explanations;
– document accessible guides;
– adapt technical support to specific needs.
5.7 Transportation
This area is not applicable to Solist inc.
– improve website and document accessibility;
– implement an internal accommodation policy for employees;
– provide basic training on accessibility practices;
– implement an accessible web feedback form;
– update this plan and produce required annual reports.
Solist inc. commits to publishing, before June 1st of each year, a progress report, an updated plan or an update to the feedback process, in accordance with CRTC requirements.
